Our workshop is at D-20 in Udyog Sadan No. 2, right on MIDC Street No. 2 in Andheri East. We’re right across from the ESIS Hospital, so it’s easy to give people directions. Being in an industrial area like MIDC means there’s always a lot of noise and work going on around us. We are goldsmiths, so our space is full of benches, tools, and the sound of hammers or torches. It’s not a clean, quiet office. It’s a place where things are made by hand. We spend most of our time bent over the benches, working on small details. It’s hard on the eyes sometimes, but we’re used to it. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to know what needs doing. The air in the workshop usually feels warm because of the soldering stations. We don't have a fancy showroom here; most of our work goes out to other shops once it’s finished. Andheri East is a busy place to be, and sometimes the commute is a bit much, but once we get to the bench, everything else fades away. We just focus on the gold and the designs. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. We aren't interested in being the biggest company out there, just in making sure the work we do is solid. Every piece that leaves our bench has had our full attention for hours. That’s just our way of working.
