Mayura Art is right opposite the Kabutar Khana in Borivali East. Most people around here know the landmark, so it’s not too difficult to find us if you are in the area. We are in a pretty lively neighborhood where there is always something going on outside. Being near the Kabutar Khana means it's always busy and there are birds everywhere. We spend most of our time inside working on the art side of things. It’s a small place but it works for what we need to do. We don’t have a massive team or any kind of corporate setup. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. The walls are usually covered in whatever we are working on at the moment, which makes it look a bit messy. It gets a bit dusty sometimes because of the location and the open windows, but we manage. We’ve been here in Borivali for quite some time now. You get to know the neighbors and the local tea stall guys after you've been around for a while. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a workshop where things get made by hand. Sometimes the days are very long, especially when we have a lot of projects piled up on the tables. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or any marketing. People usually just hear about us from someone else. It’s a straightforward way to run things and we just keep at it.
