Our setup is in Borivli West, at Jagannath Apartment on Rokadia Lane. It’s an apartment building, so it doesn’t look like a typical industrial office from the outside. We are in unit A/501. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens sometimes. Maulik Dye Chem deals with dyes and chemicals, mostly for the textile trade. We’ve been operating from this location for quite a long time. The space is filled with files, samples, and a few computers. It’s quiet compared to a factory floor. We mostly coordinate between the producers and the textile mills. My wife helps me with the paperwork and the accounts. We don't have many employees, just a couple of guys who help with deliveries and warehouse visits. Rokadia Lane is a familiar place to us. We know the local shopkeepers and the guy who sells tea at the corner. We don't do much marketing. Our clients find us through old connections and word of mouth. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails every day. Sometimes we have to travel to the outskirts to check on the stock in the godown. We don’t have a fancy corporate structure. It’s just us trying to make a living and doing our work properly. Borivli is a nice area to work in, even if it’s a bit far from the main city center. We keep the kettle on all day for anyone who visits.
