Our place is located in the R. B. T. Co-Op Housing Society, specifically at 8/B401. It's right along the Mankhurd-Ghatkopar Highway, so the sound of trucks and cars passing by is something we've just gotten used to over time. Being in Mumbai, space is always tight, but this flat works well enough for our operations. We work on various info-com tasks here, mostly involving computers and data management. The room is filled with monitors and a lot of tangled wires that we keep meaning to tidy up when we get a free moment. Living and working in Mankhurd West has its own rhythm, and we’re right in the middle of it. We aren't some big tech firm with a glass building; we’re just a small group of people working from a residential society unit. It’s more comfortable this way, though we do have to be mindful of the neighbors when we stay late to finish a project. The elevators in the building can be slow during the morning rush, so we usually try to get in early to avoid the wait. Most of the furniture is stuff we’ve picked up over the years, so nothing matches perfectly but it’s sturdy enough for the job. We spend most of our hours staring at screens and taking calls. It’s straightforward work that requires a lot of concentration, and this spot gives us the quiet we need away from the highway.
