Powai is a busy spot in Mumbai, and that is where Mastiff Tech Pvt Ltd is based. We are right in the thick of it. It’s a tech-heavy neighborhood, but we try to keep our feet on the ground. Our office is pretty basic. We have some computers, a couple of whiteboards that are usually covered in messy scribbles, and a lot of chairs that have seen better days. We do technical work, mostly software and support stuff. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a fancy lounge. We’re usually too busy typing away or sitting in meetings to worry about decor. The air conditioning is usually set a bit too cold, but nobody complains much. We get our lunch from the local places around here and eat at our desks more often than we probably should. It’s a small team, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don’t have a lot of layers of management. If something is broken, we fix it. If someone has an idea, we talk about it over coffee. Being in Powai means there’s always something happening outside, but inside, we just focus on the screens. It’s a practical way to run a business. We just want to make stuff that works without making a big fuss about it.
