Marvie Ann Beck Salon & Academy

We are located at Marvie Ann Beck Salon & Academy in Bandra West. You can find us on the second floor of the Silver Pearl Building on Waterfield Road. It is directly opposite the China Gate Restaurant, so that makes it easy for most people to find us in the middle of all the Bandra traffic. The building has an elevator, but some people just walk up the stairs. Since we have both a salon and an academy, there is always a lot going on. You will see students carrying their kits around and practicing on mannequin heads in one area while the regular salon work happens in the other. It gets a bit crowded during the middle of the day, and there is usually a lot of chatter. We have big windows that look out toward the street, and the light is actually quite good for working. We spend a lot of time washing towels and cleaning up the stations between clients. It is a busy environment and we don’t have much time for sitting around. Most of the people working here have been around for quite a while, so we have a set routine. We just focus on getting the hair and makeup done or helping the students with their lessons. It’s a straightforward operation and we just try to keep everything organized and moving along throughout the day in this busy part of Mumbai.
