Marshall Fire & Rescue Services is located in Room No. 2 on the ground floor, right behind the Chipla Devi Temple in Lothanwadi. This is in the Mahim area, specifically near the Mahim Cross Road. It’s a small, modest room that serves as our home base. Being behind a temple means we sometimes hear the bells and the prayers, which is actually quite nice during a busy day. The office is pretty simple—just a couple of desks, some shelves for our fire safety gear, and a lot of paperwork piled up. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when all of us are in at the same time. Mahim is a busy, old part of Mumbai, so the streets are narrow and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We aren’t a big corporation with multiple floors; we are just a local service trying to help out with fire safety. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it gets too hot inside. We don’t have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that’s seen better years. People in the neighborhood know us by name, and we like it that way. We don't use any fancy talk or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the equipment and making sure we are ready when someone calls. It is a humble place, but it serves its purpose for us.
