Manthan Inc.

V. P. Road is a very traditional part of Mumbai, and it has a rhythm that you only understand if you work here. We are in the Rani Building, at number 3, right near Prarthna Samaj. It is a historic landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Manthan Inc. is a small operation. The office has high ceilings and old windows that let in the sound of the buses and taxis outside. We have stacks of papers and old ledgers because we still like to keep physical copies of things. It is not a modern, glass-and-steel kind of place. The walls have some marks on them and the floorboards creak a little when you walk near the back. We spend our days answering the phone and filing away documents. It is mostly quiet work, punctuated by the occasional visit from a regular client. We don't have a big corporate philosophy. We just believe in getting the day's work done so we don't have to carry it over to tomorrow. We take our lunch breaks together, often bringing food from home and sharing it around the main table. It is a very human way to work. The building is old, the street is noisy, and the fans are a bit loud, but it feels like home to us. We have been here for a long time and we don't plan on changing much.
