We are based on the first floor of the Kailash Building in Mumbai. It’s part of the Krishna Kaveri Society down Bhardawadi Lane. If you are coming off SV Road, it’s just a short walk. Mumbai is a crazy place to do business but we’ve managed to stay here for quite a while. Our office is pretty plain. We have some chairs, a few computers, and a lot of paper everywhere. We don’t really go for that polished corporate look. We are just regular people working. Most of our day is spent talking to people who are looking for work. We also talk to the companies that need them. It's a lot of back and forth. The lane outside is usually narrow and full of parked bikes. It can be a bit of a squeeze. But inside, we just focus on the task. We don’t have any big mission statements on the wall. We just try to get people hired. Some days the humidity is terrible and we just keep the fans going. We know the local market well. We’ve been through the ups and downs of the city’s economy. People come to us because we’ve been here a long time. We don't promise anything crazy. We just look at what’s available and see who fits. It’s a basic service. The society is nice and the neighbors are used to people coming in and out of our office all day.
