Management College-Mumbai

We operate out of Room 416 at the SIMSR Management Hostel. It’s a student-focused environment, so there’s always a lot of energy and noise around the building. Being in a hostel means things are kept pretty basic. We have a couple of chairs, a desk, and a lot of books piled up. It’s not a grand college hall with marble floors or fancy lights. It’s a functional space where we talk about management and help students with their daily needs. Mumbai is a tough city for students, so we try to keep things grounded and helpful. We spend a lot of time discussing schedules and various course materials. The room gets a bit small and stuffy when more than three people are inside at once. You can hear the sounds of the hostel—people walking in the corridors, laughter, and doors slamming. It’s a very real, lived-in place. We aren't interested in sounding corporate because we are right there in the middle of student life every day. We deal with the day-to-day issues that come up in a management setting. Sometimes the internet is slow or we run out of tea in the afternoon, but we just keep going. It’s about learning and getting things done without any unnecessary fuss. We’ve been in this room for a while now. It’s simple, honest, and exactly what you’d expect from a hostel-based office in the city.
