Mamta Stationery Gift Stores

If you know the Govandi Bridge area, you probably know where Mamta Stationery Gift Stores is. We are right there in Vaibhav Nagar, very close to Govandi Station. Being near the station means it is always noisy with the trains and the people rushing to catch their commute to work. Chembur is a crowded place, and our shop reflects that. We have pens, notebooks, and all the school stuff on one side, and then the gift items on the other. It’s a bit of a mix, really. We started out mostly with stationery but people kept asking for birthday gifts, so we added those in over time. The shop gets really packed when the schools nearby let out in the afternoon. All the kids come in for stickers or new erasers. It can be quite a handful to manage. The floor is a bit uneven near the entrance, so we have to tell people to watch their step. I usually sit near the door to keep an eye on everything. We don't have a computer for billing or anything like that, we just write it all down in a ledger like we always have. It works for us. Sometimes we run out of change, so I have to go to the shop next door to ask for some. It’s just a simple life running a shop in this part of town.
