Mamaru Creation

Mamaru Creation is tucked away in 347, Tribhuvan Terrace, right on Station Road in Kandivali West. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Station Road gets. It’s always crowded with people rushing to catch trains. Our place is on the terrace level, so it’s a bit away from the street noise, but you can still hear the city moving. We do a lot of creative work here. There are rolls of fabric and patterns lying around most of the time. It’s a bit cramped because we have so much stuff, but we make it work. We started this because we wanted to make things our own way. We don't have a big showroom with lights. It’s more like a workshop where things actually get made. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot of work to finish. The building is an old one, typical of Kandivali. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years. We handle all kinds of creation projects. It’s just a few of us working together. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just cut, sew, and put things together. It’s hard work and our hands get tired, but that’s the business. People find us mostly by word of mouth or because they live nearby. We are just a small part of the big Mumbai hustle, doing our bit every day at Tribhuvan Terrace.
