Mainuddin Shaikh

I have been working out of Ghansham Bhavan for a good while now. It is a solid building over in Sector 3 of Ghansoli, right on Plot 10. My space is B-401, so I am up on the fourth floor. It is not a fancy place with a big lobby or anything like that, but it does the job. Most days, I just come in early and start going through whatever is on my desk. The neighborhood around here in Navi Mumbai is always moving. You can hear the sounds of the street from the window, people talking and the occasional horn from a delivery truck. The room is big enough for what I need. I have my chair, my desk, and some shelves that are probably a bit too cluttered. I do not really have a big staff, so if you come by, you are usually just talking to me. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. Ghansoli has changed a lot since I first started here, with more buildings coming up every year, but Ghansham Bhavan feels like one of the familiar spots. I like being in this part of Maharashtra because everything you need is just a short walk away. I keep my head down and just focus on the daily tasks. It is a simple way to spend the day, and I am used to the rhythm of this place.
