Maheshchalke

I’m based out of Borivali East, specifically over in Ashokvan at the Pratapgad Society. My name is Maheshchalke and I’ve been using this space in V-9/102 for my work for a good bit now. If you know Shiv Vallabh Road, you know it can get pretty busy with all the people moving around. Living and working in Mumbai-66 is a bit of a balancing act because there is always something going on outside the window. I set this up because I wanted to work for myself and stay close to my neighborhood. It's a simple setup. I don't have those glossy brochures or a marketing department. I just have my desk, my equipment, and a list of things to get done every morning. People in the society know me as the guy who’s always working, and I guess that’s true. I don’t spend much time thinking about growth strategies or anything like that. I just focus on the next task. Sometimes the rains make getting things delivered a bit of a headache, but we manage. Most of my neighbors are good people and we look out for each other. That’s the thing about being a local business owner; you’re part of the fabric of the street. I’m just trying to make a living and do a decent job for anyone who needs my help. It’s a plain way of living but it works for me and keeps me busy.
