I’m one of the guys working here at Mahendra Brothers Exports Pvt Ltd. We are based out of 3 Rajkamal Hill Top on Church Road in Marol, Andheri East. If you know Mumbai, you know how crazy the traffic can get around here, especially near the airport. Our office is tucked away in the building and it’s always a hive of activity. Even though the name sounds big, inside it’s just a bunch of us sitting at our computers and talking on the phones. There are boxes stacked up in the corners and the printer is usually making a lot of noise in the background. We’ve been in Maharashtra for a long time and this Marol spot has been our base for most of it. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just checking on shipments and making sure the paperwork matches up with what’s in the containers. Sometimes we stay late when a big order is going out, drinking tea and trying to stay awake. The office has a view of the street, so we see all the rain during the monsoon months. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just show up every morning, do the work that needs doing, and try to get home before the trains get too crowded. It’s a regular business run by regular people who know their way around the export world.
