Mahavir Camera

Mahavir Camera is located at 46, Ardeshir Street, in the Lad Nivas building. We are just off Nanubhai Desai Road, not far from the Alankar Cinema near Grant Road. This area has a lot of history and our shop feels like a part of it. We deal with cameras of all kinds, from the old film ones to the newer digital versions. If you walk into the shop, you will see lenses and camera bodies everywhere. It is a bit of a squeeze because we like to keep a lot of stock on hand. We spend our time cleaning sensors, fixing shutter buttons, and talking to people about their photos. We are not some big retail chain. We are a local shop where you can actually talk to the person who is going to be opening up your camera to fix it. We have some old posters on the walls and the shelves are a bit dusty, but we know exactly where every piece of equipment is. People come from all over the city because they know we don't charge for things they don't need. Sometimes we just sit and talk about old photography gear with the people who drop by. It is a slow-paced kind of place in a fast-paced part of Mumbai. We have been near Grant Road for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere else. It’s just what we do.
