Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd

Our office is on the 4th floor of the Telephone House, specifically in the Ao Works Ip section. We are right there in Dadar West, which is a very active part of Mumbai. Being part of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd at this location means we are right in the heart of things. The building is quite tall and has a lot of history to it. You have to take the lift up to the 4th floor to find us. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different departments, but we are used to it. We handle a lot of the backend stuff for the phone lines. It’s not a place where many customers walk in, but we are always busy with something. The view from the windows is just other buildings and the busy streets of Mumbai 400028. We have a lot of old desks and computers that have seen better days. The air conditioning sometimes struggles with the Mumbai humidity, but we manage. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is just on keeping the lines connected. There are no fancy decorations or lounge areas. We just come in, do our shift, and head back out into the Dadar traffic. It’s just the way life is for us working in this part of the city. We have a small corner for lunch but that is about as fancy as it gets for us here.
