Mahalaxmi Gifts & Novelties

We've been at Shop No 206 on Jangikar Street for a while now. It is located right near Abdul Rehman Street. Most people who live around here know the spot in Masjid Bunder West. We run Mahalaxmi Gifts & Novelties. It is a busy area, and there are always lots of people passing through every day. Usually, the shop is full of things we have picked out to sell. We keep things simple here. If you are walking down from the station, you will find us easily enough. We open up early and stay until the evening. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside, but that is how it is in this part of town. We do not have a big team, just a few of us working behind the counter. We handle the stock and talk to the regulars. Most of the folks who come in are from around the neighborhood or people doing their daily shopping. We keep track of what is on the shelves and try to make sure there is always something new to look at. It is a small place, but we make it work. We have got our routine down now. Every morning we sweep the floor and get the displays ready for the day. There is not much more to say other than we are here and we have been doing this for some time. We like being part of the street life here. If you are ever near Abdul Rehman Street, you have probably seen our sign.
