Magnil Dye Chem

Magnil Dye Chem is located at 501 in the Dhamji Shamji Trade Centre in Vidyavihar West. It’s a typical commercial building with lots of different businesses on every floor. The elevators are usually slow, so we end up waiting a lot or just taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry to get somewhere. Our office is on the fifth floor. It’s a decent-sized space but it’s mostly filled with desks and shelves for all our dye and chemical records. Vidyavihar is a busy area, especially with the train station nearby. We hear the trains passing by quite often during the day. The office doesn’t have much in the way of style or decoration. It’s just white walls and some basic tube lights that flicker occasionally. We spend most of our time coordinating with suppliers and checking on shipments that are coming in or going out. There’s a small corner where we keep a water cooler and some glasses for guests. Most of our staff have been around for a few years now, so we’re all pretty used to each other’s habits. We don’t really do big formal meetings; we just talk across the desks when something needs to be settled. Lunch is usually a quick affair, sometimes ordered from the canteen downstairs or brought from home in tiffins. The view from the window is just other buildings and the street below. We keep our heads down and focus on getting the work done.
