Lalbaug is a very famous part of Mumbai, known for its history and energy. Maersk Global Service Centres is right there in G 29 of the Shroff Building on Sane Guruji Road. The zip code is 400012. It’s a busy area, especially during the big festivals, but we’re here working year-round. The building itself has been around for quite a while. It’s got that old Mumbai character that you don't find in the newer parts of the city. Our office is just a regular room on the ground floor. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a security desk. You just walk in and see us at our workstations. We’ve got the ceiling fans going and everyone is just focused on their screens. It gets quite loud outside with the trucks and the street life, but we’ve all gotten used to it over time. We don't have a big mission statement hanging on the wall. We just know what we have to do for Maersk and we get it done. It’s a very practical and honest way to spend the day. Most of us have been working here for a long time, so we know the routine well. We don’t try to make things sound better than they are. It’s just an office in Lalbaug where the daily work gets finished. We eat our tiffins together and keep things moving without needing any fancy words.
