Madhu-Malti Perfumary Works

Our place is tucked away in Sai Sadan, B Wing, inside the Sai Baba Complex on Ciba Road. If you are in Goregaon East, you might have walked past our door without even knowing it. We work with all kinds of different scents and essential oils throughout the day. The smell in the hallway can get pretty overwhelming sometimes, depending on exactly what we are mixing in the vats that afternoon. Madhu-Malti Perfumary Works isn’t some giant automated factory. It is a very hands-on operation where we handle pretty much everything ourselves. We are constantly dealing with small bottles, sticky labels, and cardboard boxes. The workshop gets a bit cramped whenever a large order comes through the door. We spend a significant amount of time checking the quality of our raw materials because a bad base means the whole batch is a waste. It’s a lot of waiting for mixtures to settle and testing how they smell after they have sat for a few hours. The traffic on Ciba Road is usually a total disaster, so we try to get our deliveries loaded and out the door early in the morning. That is just how we run things here. We have been in this same spot for a long time and the neighbors all know us by the smells. We aren't trying to be some massive company. We just want the stuff we send out to be right for the people who use it.
