Jogeshwari West is where we keep the office, at number 312. It’s a hectic part of town, lots of dust and movement all the time. M Y Construction has been based here for a while now. The office is usually full of maps and rolls of paper, and there’s always a pair of boots by the door. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a clean carpet. We spend more time out on sites than sitting here, but 312 is the home base. It’s where we keep the tools and the records. The neighbors at 310 are okay, they don’t complain about the noise when we’re loading the truck early in the morning. Jogeshwari West has its own rhythm, and we’re just part of it. Sometimes the phone rings and nobody is there to pick it up because we’re all out back. We try to keep things organized, but when things get busy, the desk gets buried under paperwork. It’s just a working office, nothing more. We don’t have a flashy sign, just the name on the door that’s starting to peel a bit at the edges. It’s been through a few monsoons now. Inside, the walls are covered with photos of old jobs we did years ago. It reminds us of how much has changed around here. We just keep going, day after day, through the heat and the rain. It’s just a job.
