M K Flowers & Gift

M K Flowers & Gift is up on the first floor at 237/243 near the Udhanagaon Masjid. You have to walk up the stairs to find us. It’s a bit of an old building, but we have been here for some time now. We sell flowers and different gifts to the people who live around this part of town. The space is not very big, so we have to stack things up high sometimes. It can get a little dusty with all the traffic outside, but we try our best to keep the flowers fresh. Being near the masjid means it gets quite busy during certain times of the week. We see a lot of the same faces coming in and out. Most of the work involves sorting through stock and helping customers find what they need for their homes or events. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure things run okay. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit in the hallway, but that’s just how the building is. We like the spot because it’s familiar and everyone knows where the Udhanagaon Masjid is. We keep the shop open most days. It’s just a regular local business where we get our hands dirty with plants and ribbon. We don’t do anything too complicated, just providing what the neighbors ask for when they come upstairs. There are always a few loose petals on the floor, but that is just part of the job here and it keeps us busy.
