Lucky Wallpaper

Lucky Wallpaper is tucked away in the Old Mission Compound in Byculla. If you know Shop No 25 in the Modi Compound, that’s where you’ll find us. It’s a bit of an old-school area, filled with different shops and people constantly moving back and forth. Our space is filled from floor to ceiling with rolls of wallpaper. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always find a way to fit one more design in. People come in looking for something specific for their homes and we spend a lot of time just unrolling different patterns to show them. It’s a dusty job sometimes, but we enjoy seeing what people pick out. The compound can be a bit tricky to navigate if you aren't used to it, but once you find us, it’s pretty straightforward. We’ve been here in Byculla for years now. The walls of the shop are covered in scraps and samples we’ve kept over time. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it has everything we need to run the business. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who know where every single roll is hidden. It gets busy on Saturdays when families come by to look at colors. We just try to help them find something they won't get tired of looking at every day. It’s practical work and we like the local vibe of the compound. We don't do much fancy marketing, just help folks out.
