L.S.I. Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd.

We’re up on the eighth floor of the Express Zone building in Malad East. Specifically, L.S.I. Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd. is in B-803. Being right on the Western Express Highway means we hear the traffic pretty much all day long, but you sort of stop noticing it after a week or two. It’s a busy part of Mumbai, and getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle if the highway is backed up, which it usually is. The office itself is a decent size, filled with computers and the usual stacks of paperwork that seem to grow on their own. We aren't really the type for fancy decorations or minimalist spaces. It’s a place where people come to work, drink too much coffee, and solve technical problems. Most of us have been working together in this unit for years. You’ll see people huddled over monitors or chatting in the small break area near the back. We don’t have a lot of formal meetings; usually, we just shout across the room or walk over to someone’s desk if something needs fixing. The view from the eighth floor gives you a good look at the city sprawl, which is interesting when the sun starts to go down. It’s a straightforward environment. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and try to beat the evening rush hour on the way out.
