Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College

Our place is right on Laxmaibai Kelkar Marg in Sion. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College has been standing here for a long time, and it shows in the walls and the hallways. It’s a government-run spot, so things move at their own pace sometimes. We have students coming from all over to learn here, and the hospital side of things is always packed with people looking for help. It gets pretty chaotic during the day. The labs are usually full of equipment and students trying to figure things out. We don’t have fancy carpets or quiet lounges; it is mostly just concrete, old wooden desks, and a lot of white coats. The canteen is okay, nothing special, but it’s where everyone ends up at some point. Living and working here means dealing with the humidity and the constant noise of the city outside. Most of the doctors and professors have been here for years and they know every corner of the building. It’s a tough environment but it's real. We deal with what comes through the doors every single day. There’s no point in trying to make it sound like a five-star hotel because it isn’t. It’s a place for learning medicine and treating people, and that keeps us busy enough without any extra fuss or polish in how we present ourselves.
