Lingappa Auto Garage

Our garage is over in Malad West, right in Nadiadwala Colony No 2 on S V Road. We are pretty easy to spot because the H P Petrol Pump is right nearby. It’s a loud place, full of the sounds of engines and tools clanking against metal. We’ve got grease on our hands most of the day, but that’s part of the job. Cars come in with all sorts of problems, and we just try to figure out what’s wrong and fix it. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. Usually, people just stand around or come back later when the work is finished. The shop is filled with spare parts, old tires, and oil cans. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. Malad is always crowded, and S V Road is one of the busiest streets, so there’s never a dull moment. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood coming in for oil changes or small repairs. It’s a local business through and through. We don’t use computer systems for everything; a lot of it is just knowing how an engine sounds. My father taught me a lot of what I know about cars. We just keep working until the sun sets and the last car is out of the bay. It's a tough way to make a living, but it's what we know. We just deal with the grease.
