Level 7

Level 7 is tucked into the Munnabhai Lakadawala Chawl in Santacruz East. We are right on the Main Road 13, so there is always a lot of noise from the cars and the rickshaws passing by. The chawl is a busy place with people living and working all on top of each other. Our space isn't huge, but we make it work for what we need. Most of the people who come in are locals who live just a few doors down or work nearby. It is a lot of manual labor, keeping the place running every day. There isn't much room for fancy decorations, so we don't bother with any of that. We have a few lights and the basic stuff we need to get by. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. That is just part of being in this neighborhood. I grew up not too far from here, so the chaos feels pretty normal to me. People always ask why we chose this spot, but it was just available and the rent was okay for us. We are not trying to be the biggest place in Santacruz. We just want to get through the day's work and go home to our families. You can usually find me near the entrance, talking to the neighbors or checking on things. It is just a regular local business, nothing more than that. We keep it simple.
