Lehman Brothers Financial Services Pvt Ltd is based out of Powai, specifically at A 101 Regency Park. It’s part of the Nahar Amrit Shakti complex, which is a huge area with lots of buildings that all look slightly similar. Finding our block can be a bit tricky for delivery drivers the first time they visit. The office itself is on the first floor. It feels more like a converted apartment than a corporate suite, which actually makes it quite comfortable to work in. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, and the main room is where all the desks are lined up. Since we are in Powai, the surroundings are quite green compared to the rest of the city. We often see people walking their dogs or kids playing in the park outside while we are working on reports. The pace here is steady but not frantic. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and making sure all the numbers match up. There is a lot of light coming through the windows, which is nice. We don't really do big meetings or presentations here. It’s mostly just the four or five of us handling the accounts and making sure everything is filed correctly. When the day ends, we just lock up and head out into the busy Powai evening. It’s a quiet, practical way to run a business.
