Lalit Choice Centre

We are right there in Bobby Shopping Centre, which has been a landmark in Kandivali for as long as I can remember. Being opposite Raichura Hospital means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. Mahatma Gandhi Road is always packed with cars and rickshaws, so the noise is just something we have learned to ignore. Our shop is at number ten. It is not a very big space, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people are standing at the counter at once. We opened this place because we wanted to be in a spot where the local community shops. Kandivali is a busy place, and people here don't have time for long stories. They just want to find what they need and go home. We spend a lot of time organizing the shelves and making sure things are where they should be. The lighting in the shopping centre isn't the brightest, so we added a few extra bulbs to our corner. It's a simple setup. My family has been around this area for years, so we know the neighbors pretty well. We open early most days and stay until the street lights are on. It's just honest work in a busy part of town. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in.
