Our place is located at C/9 in the Laghu Udyog Kendra on I. B. Patel Road. It is a typical manufacturing unit, nothing too flashy or modern to look at. We spend our days making instruments and equipment that eventually end up in various labs and hospitals. Lab Hosp Instrument And Equipment Manufacturing Company is a pretty long name, but we just think of it as our daily job. The area around I.B. Patel Road is always full of activity with other small industries and workshops all around us. We have got the machines set up to handle different types of metalwork and assembly tasks. It gets quite loud sometimes, especially when we are pushing hard to finish a large batch of equipment. We do not have a big sales team or a marketing department. Usually, it is just us answering the phones and working right on the shop floor. Most of our tools are for scientific use, so we have to be quite careful with the measurements and materials. It is steady, repetitive work. We see a lot of delivery trucks coming in and out of the Kendra throughout the week. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or late shipments of raw materials, which is just how things go in this part of town. We have been in this spot for a long time and know the neighbors pretty well. It is a simple setup where we focus on the physical work of building things. There is no corporate ladder here, just a group of people who know how to put together lab gear properly.
