L T Infotech is based out of A 18 in the Mangalesh Society on Kasrur Park Road. This is Borivali West, so it’s a nice residential area with a lot of families around. Our office is basically a converted flat. It feels a bit strange to work in a place that looks like a living room, but it’s comfortable. We can hear the kids playing in the society garden downstairs during the evenings. The walk from the station isn’t too long, which is a plus for those of us who take the local train. We have a small balcony where we keep some storage boxes and a couple of chairs for breaks. The kitchen area is where we keep the water filter and the tea kettle. It’s not a fancy glass building like you see in the business parks. It’s just a regular society building with white walls and barred windows. We’ve got our computers set up on long tables. Sometimes the internet goes slow when it rains, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We know the security guards at the gate and the local shopkeepers. It’s a very grounded way to run a business. We don't have meetings in boardrooms; we usually just talk across the desks. It’s a small, tight-knit group of us here. We like the quiet atmosphere of Kasrur Park Road.
