L. K. Patel & Sons has been a fixture on L M Road in Borivali West for a long time. It’s a family business, passed down through the years. If you walk down the road, you’ll see our sign. It’s not the brightest or the newest, but people know it’s us. We handle a variety of things here, mostly stuff that people in the neighborhood need for their homes or businesses. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much stock as possible inside. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, and only the guys who have worked here for years really know where everything is hidden. Borivali is always moving, and L M Road is no exception. There’s a constant hum of traffic outside our door. We don't do much in the way of advertising because most of our customers are people who have been coming to us since they were kids. We treat everyone the same, whether they are buying one small thing or a whole truckload. It’s just how we were taught to do things. The office in the back is where we keep the old ledgers and drink our tea. We aren't looking to change much about how we work. The old ways seem to work just fine for us and our neighbors. It’s about being there for the long haul and knowing the people who walk through the door.
