We are located in Malad West, at number 2 in the Girivihar Apartments on Shankar Lane. It’s in the Orlem area, which is a nice enough neighborhood. Our shop isn't on a main shopping strip; it’s more tucked away, which means we mostly see the same local people every day. We have a couple of glass display cases that we wipe down every morning to get the fingerprints off. The carpet is a bit worn in the spots where people stand the most. We have a small safe in the back and a heavy curtain that separates the work area from the front. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when the school nearby lets out and the kids are making noise on the street. We sit on chairs that have seen better days, waiting for someone to pop in. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that; people usually just find us because they live nearby or their parents used to come here. The lights are bright so we can see what we are doing, but it makes the room get quite warm by the afternoon. We keep a small radio on the shelf playing some music in the background just to fill the silence. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way.
