Kushal Mohite

I am located in Mazgaon, specifically in Room No 42, Block No 9 at the B I T quarters. My name is Kushal Mohite and this is where I handle my daily business. The B I T buildings are quite old and have a lot of history to them. Living and working in the same area means I know almost everyone who walks past my door. The room itself is small, but I have managed to organize it so that everything has a place. There is a window that lets in a bit of a breeze from the harbor side, which is nice in the humid Mumbai weather. The hallways outside are narrow and you can often hear the neighbors talking or the sound of someone cooking a few doors down. I have an old table where I do most of my work, and it has a few scratches that have been there for years. The floor is made of that old stone that stays cool even when it is hot outside. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings, so we all have to plan around that. It is a very local way of living, and there is always something going on in the compound. I usually spend my afternoons catching up on tasks or just sitting by the door watching the kids play in the common area. It is a simple existence in a busy city.
