Our office is in C 68 of the Aaram Housing Society, which is near the Vakola Church in Santacruz East. If you know Mumbai, you know Santacruz is always moving at a million miles an hour. Being near the church means we have a good landmark, and the housing society itself is a bit of a sanctuary from the main road noise. It’s a typical Mumbai setup where space is at a premium. We’ve squeezed our desks and filing cabinets into the room as best as we can. It’s a busy little hub. We deal with people from all over the area, and it can get quite loud when everyone is talking at once. The trains aren't too far away, so you always have that sense of the city’s pulse in the background. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep our energy up. The office isn't polished or fancy; it looks like a place where people actually work. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the printer is almost always running. We spend a lot of time helping people fill out their forms or explaining how to use the bank app. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like the people we work with and the regulars who come in. It’s just our little corner of the bank in the middle of a very crowded and loud city, and we just keep at it.
