Konkan Spices

You can find us at Magnum Tower in the Lokhandwala area of Andheri West. We are up in unit 1109 at Vidya Nagar Cross, Tikkajala, which is a bit of a busy corner. We deal with spices that remind us of the Konkan coast, though we’re right here in the middle of the city. Most of our work involves sorting through different batches and making sure everything is packed up properly for delivery. The office isn't very large, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes the smell of dried chilies and peppercorns fills the whole floor, and we hope the neighbors don't mind too much. It’s a bit different being in a high-rise tower compared to a traditional market, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking the quality of what comes in. It’s just a few of us here, doing everything from the heavy lifting to the paperwork. We don’t have any fancy displays or a retail counter where you can browse, it’s more of a place where the real work happens behind the scenes. We just want to make sure the stuff we send out is the same kind of quality we’d use in our own kitchens back home. It’s a steady pace, and we’re usually here until the sun goes down over the suburbs.
