We are set up in Dalamal House, right in the heart of Nariman Point. Our office is room 1008, which gives us a bit of a view of the surrounding buildings and a glimpse of the sea if you lean out the window. Nariman Point is always humming with people in suits and cars everywhere, but inside Kmi Business Technologies Pvt Lt, it’s a bit more down-to-earth. We deal with a lot of tech stuff, so there are always boxes and spare parts lying around the corners. It’s not a perfectly tidy office, but we know where the important things are kept. The elevator ride up to the 10th floor is usually where we catch up on the morning news with people from other offices in the building. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls or anything like that. We just come in, check the schedule, and start working on whatever needs attention that morning. Sometimes the lunch hour gets a bit hectic because everyone in the building hits the street at the same time. We usually just bring our own tiffins and eat at our desks while talking about our families or the cricket score. It’s a practical way to spend the day. The furniture is basic, the lighting is standard, and we just focus on the tasks we have in front of us. Being in such a famous business area is nice, but at the end of the day, we are just a small team doing our job.
