Mirza Street is a tight squeeze most days. If you’ve ever been down near Zaveri Bazar, you know how it is with the crowds and the narrow lanes. Our place, Klass Velvets Private Limited, is right at No. 70. We spend most of our time dealing with heavy rolls of velvet. It’s a specific kind of work. The shop is tucked away, so you have to keep your eyes peeled when you’re walking past the other businesses. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, but our corner stays pretty much the same. It’s always packed with stacks of cloth and the smell of fabric. Sometimes the light isn't great inside, but we know where everything is by heart. Being so close to Zaveri Bazar means there's always noise outside—carts rattling, people shouting, and the general hum of the city. We don't mind it. It feels like being in the middle of everything. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique. We just supply the materials that people need. Most of our customers are regulars who know exactly which pile to look through. We keep things straightforward. No big speeches or fancy brochures. If we have it, we’ll show it to you. If we don’t, we’ll tell you straight. That’s just the way things are done on Mirza Street. It’s a busy life, but it suits us fine.
