The shop is tucked away near the Kothrud Depot in Vile Parle West. Since the bus stop is right there, we get people rushing in all the time. They are usually looking for something quick because they have a bus to catch. It makes the shop feel a bit frantic sometimes. We have lots of small items near the counter for that reason. Pens, small notebooks, and little toys are the main things. The walls are covered in shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes because we are always restocking. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets extra busy. We don't have a computer system or anything, just a notebook where we write things down. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things but it works for us. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, and the paint is peeling a little near the door. We don't mind. It feels like home to us. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit while they wait for their ride. It’s a good location even if it gets loud with the buses constantly pulling in and out. You get used to the sound after a while. We just keep the door open and hope for a bit of a breeze. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. No big plans, just keeping the shelves full for whoever comes in.
