Kazi Yasin

I work out of Room Number 8 in the Ibrahim Dawl Chawl, located in Quresh Nagar. It’s right in the heart of Kurla East. My name is Kazi Yasin, and this has been my workplace for a good while. Kurla is always moving, always noisy, and full of people, but inside the chawl, things are a bit more focused. It’s a small space, I won't lie about that. It’s just enough for me to sit and do what I need to do. I don’t have any fancy signs or a big window display. Most people find me because they live nearby or someone told them where I am. I’ve lived in Mumbai all my life, so the cramped spaces and the busy streets don't really bother me anymore. I handle the work as it comes in, sometimes staying late if there’s a lot to finish. I don’t have a team of people working under me. It’s just a one-person operation where I take care of everything. I like it that way because I don’t have to answer to anyone else. It’s a simple setup—just some basic furniture and the tools of my trade. I don’t use big words or try to act like I’m some huge company. I’m just Kazi, working out of a room in Kurla to make ends meet. It’s a real place with real work happening every single day. There isn't any mystery to it.
