We’ve been here at the Hema Industrial Estate in Andheri East for quite a while now. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how Sarvodaya Nagar can get, especially near Meghwadi. It is a busy spot, mostly industrial stuff all around us, but we managed to settle into units 237 and 238. The office isn't anything fancy like those big glass buildings you see in BKC, but it works for us. Most days it is just a bunch of us sitting at our desks, dealing with computers and whatever tech problems come our way. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we take the stairs, which isn't great in the humidity, but we’re used to it by now. The tea stall downstairs is where most of our big decisions actually happen anyway. Working in an industrial area means there is always noise from some nearby factory or a truck unloading something, but you stop noticing it after a week. We just focus on the work we have to do. It’s a bit cramped with all the servers and wires, but we’ve organized it as best as we could over the years. People come and go, the traffic outside never seems to stop, and we just keep the lights on and the systems running. It is a plain, honest workspace where we spend most of our waking hours trying to get things right for the people who hire us.
