You can find Kashmir Oriental Carpet Enterprises at Shop No. 20 in the Crush Hall of the World Trade Centre. It is an interesting spot because the building is so large and formal, but our shop is just a regular corner where we keep our inventory. Cuffe Parade is a busy district, and we see a lot of people in suits rushing to meetings. Our shop feels a bit different than the offices around us. We have piles of rugs that reach up pretty high, and the smell of wool is quite strong when you first walk in. The "Crush Hall" sounds a bit intense, but it is just the area where people congregate. We have been here for a good number of years now. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the shop in order and helping whoever walks in. Sometimes the air conditioning in the building is too cold, so we have to wear sweaters even in the summer. We spend a lot of time talking to other shop owners in the corridor. It is a small community inside this massive building. The work involves a lot of folding and moving heavy stacks, which keeps us busy all day. We are not a fancy corporate entity, just a small business trying to do our job well in a famous location.
