Our office is in the Lokhandwala Building, room 318, right in the middle of Mumbai. This part of Maharashtra 400008 is always moving. You can never really escape the sound of taxis and the general noise of the city. Kashi Infotech Pvt Ltd has been based here for some time now. The building is one of those older Mumbai structures that has seen a lot of changes over the decades. Inside, we have a simple setup. There are computers and some old files stacked in the corners. We don't have much in the way of decor, maybe just a calendar on the wall. The lift in the building is often busy, so some of us just take the stairs to the third floor. It is good exercise. We have a small group of staff who know each other well. We don't use a lot of big words or have long meetings. Usually, we just shout across the desks if we need something. Lunch is often something brought from home in a tiffin or a quick bite from the street vendors downstairs. Mumbai is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and focus on the screens. It’s a plain, honest way to spend the day in the city, doing the best we can with what we have.
