Our workshop sits right off the Outer Ring Road in Kanjurmarg East, specifically at number 111 in Chinnapanahalli. It’s a busy spot with trucks passing by all day long. We do glass fabrication, so the floor is usually covered in dust and small scraps despite our best efforts to sweep up every evening. It’s a loud place because of the cutting machines, but we’re used to it. We’ve got a small team here who knows how to handle the heavy sheets without breaking anything, which is harder than it looks. The office part is just a small partitioned area in the front where we keep the invoices and some samples for people to see. It’s pretty hot in the summer because of the metal roof, but we have a couple of big fans going. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our work is for builders and people doing home renovations who know exactly what they need. You can hear the hum of the machinery from the street. We’ve been at this location for a few years now and it suits us because it’s easy for the delivery vehicles to pull in and out. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down, which is a tragedy for the morning shift. We just get on with the jobs we have and try to stay on schedule. It is hard work, but we enjoy the process of making things.
