Our little place is tucked away at number 8 in the DLF Centre over in Greater Kailash-II. It’s been our base for a long time now. We aren't a massive hospital or anything like that. People mostly come to this scanning centre because their doctor told them they need a look inside. Mornings are usually the most hectic time around here. You’ll see everyone sitting on the benches, waiting their turn while we get the machines warmed up. This isn't a fancy office with leather chairs or anything. We just have simple plastic ones and a desk that’s seen better days. My brother and I run the front while the technicians handle the actual scanning in the back rooms. A lot of our time goes into organizing files and making sure the reports don't get mixed up. If the internet goes down, we have to do everything by hand, which is always a bit of a mess. Greater Kailash is a busy neighborhood, so there’s a lot of noise from the street coming in. No one here has a big marketing plan or a mission statement. We just show up, turn on the lights, and start the work. Some patients get nervous, so we try to just be normal with them. We’ve seen kids grow up and older folks come back year after year. It’s a regular part of the community here. We do our job and go home to our families.
