Kamini D Choreographer

Kamini D Choreographer is located over on Street No 3, near Bhagwan Chowk in the Charni Road area. We are at number 38 25. This part of Mumbai is always humming with energy, and our space is no different. It’s an older building, so the floors sometimes creak when we are practicing our moves, but it has a lot of character. We don't have big mirrors covering every single wall or fancy lighting like some of the bigger studios you might see on television. It’s just a simple room where we can focus on the dance and the rhythm. The street outside is usually full of people and vendors, and sometimes the music from the shops blends in with whatever we are playing inside. It can be a bit distracting, but you learn to tune it out after a while. We spend hours here every day, just working on different steps and trying to get things right. It gets pretty sweaty and tired in here, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the building. We usually keep the windows open to get a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in the city noise. It’s a humble spot, but it’s where all the creativity happens. There isn't much in the way of furniture, just a few chairs and a sound system. It’s a place for work and movement, right in the heart of Charni Road.
