Kalyan Chheda Photography

I run Kalyan Chheda Photography out of Room No 6 in the Amol Society. It’s over in Borivali West, specifically in the Vina Vihar area of Chandava. The room is mostly filled with cameras, tripods, and a lot of bags. It’s not a big professional studio with white walls and lights everywhere, it’s more of a home base for me. Most of my work happens out and about, but this is where I keep everything and do the editing. Borivali West is a lively place, so there’s always something interesting to see when I step out. Being in Amol Society is nice because it’s quiet enough to get work done. I don’t have a big team or a secretary. If you call, you're going to talk to me. I’ve been doing this for a while now. I just like taking pictures of people and things. It’s a simple business. I don’t spend much on advertising because people usually find me through word of mouth. The space in Vina Vihar is a bit cramped sometimes, but it has everything I need. I spend a lot of late nights here looking at photos on the screen. It’s not a glamorous life, but I enjoy it. I’ve lived in this area for years, so I know the streets well. It’s just me and my camera, trying to make things look right.
