Our setup is located in the D Mello Compound, near the Vakola Bridge in Santacruz East. It’s part of the Navjeevan Rahivashi Sangh, so it’s a very local, active area. Despite the "Group of Companies" name, we’re actually a pretty grounded bunch of people working out of a few rooms here. The compound is always full of activity, with people moving goods and bikes parked everywhere. Our office is a bit of a maze with different desks for different parts of the business. It’s not the most modern place you’ll ever see, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint and the furniture is a bit mismatched. We’ve got a lot of history in this spot, though. We’ve seen the bridge and the roads change over the years while we stayed right here. It’s a busy place, especially being so close to the airport and the main highway. We deal with a lot of different things, so no two days are really the same. Sometimes it’s logistics, other times it’s paperwork for different ventures. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on the desks. It’s a practical way of working, without any of the extra stuff you see in big city offices. The compound can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we're always cleaning footprints off the floor. We have a lot of old files kept in metal cabinets that we've had since we first started. Our team is like a small family.
