Our place is at 49, Harbour Crest on Dr. Mascharenes Road. It’s right there in Mazgaon, not far from the docks. You can usually hear the ships or the cranes if the wind is blowing the right way. Kaaf Pvt Ltd is basically a small office where we handle our daily business. We’ve got a view of some other buildings and a bit of the street. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We have some old desks that have been around since we started, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But it works for us. We spend the day on the phone or dealing with people who stop by. We handle a variety of things, mostly trade-related. There’s no big secret to how we work. We just show up, answer the messages, and try to keep things moving. The area around Harbour Crest is always busy with port traffic, so getting a parking spot is a nightmare. Most of us just take the train or walk. We don’t have a glossy brochure or a big sales team. We just have ourselves and our reputation in the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward life. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to run a decent business and get home on time. That’s Kaaf for you.
